A ‘hidden’ gem standing right in the heart of the capital, Wellington Arch towers over the busy West End hub that is Hyde Park Corner. Today known as one of the capital’s most original settings for corporate events.

Originally designed as an entrance to Buckingham Palace, the arch once served as London’s smallest police station.

There is contemporary styling within the early 19th-century arch and a lift takes guests to two adjoining rooms, which together provide a flexible space for events. One has a mezzanine gallery leading out to external balconies.

Standing just below the enormous bronze statue which tops the arch – the largest in the UK – guests have superb views from the balconies across Westminster and Buckingham Palace gardens. After dark, the arch is bathed in light, making it a dramatic sight in the cityscape and adding a ‘wow’ to its welcome. www.english-heritage.org.uk

One Mayfair

In Water are one of the carefully chosen preferred florists for the spectacular One Mayfair.

Built in 1825 it has recently reopened its doors and is set to be London’s newest and most spectacular venue. Grade I listed building has undergone months of refurbishment bringing it back to its former glory. As one of the largest event spaces in the Mayfair area and since its launch the grandeur has already attracted renowned brands.

During the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week it was the exclusive location to present Berardi’s Spring 2010 collection, host for Warner Brothers’ world premiere of Sherlock Holmes and the launch dinner for a new charitable initiative ‘all for eve’.
